FIRST OF MANY FOR MCKAY

Saturday 11th October 2008
DUNDELA VS. PORTSTEWART
Interim League, Wilgar Park

Dundela convincingly got past Portstewart on Saturday as Darren McKay grabbed his first Duns goal.

It wasn’t long before Dundela opened the scoring. A corner was swung in, and Darren McKay appeared to be held back as he tried to direct the ball on target. The Referee pointed to the sport, and Barry Bloomer converted the pen to give Dundela the lead.
It was doubled thanks to Mark Roy. He took the corner, got a neat 1-2 with his brother Jonny and curled his shot into the top corner.
After some Dundela pressure, the third was added in the second half, thanks to a first goal for The Club from Darren McKay. He was through one-on-one, flicked the ball over the ‘keepers head and finished neatly.
Sub Willie McIlroy finished it off for Dundela. McKay shot from 20-yards, the ‘keeper spilled it and McIlroy tapped in from close range to win round off a good days work.
